Figma transformed design collaboration by making design tools inherently collaborative, allowing multiple designers to work on the same files simultaneously like Google Docs for design. The platform runs entirely in the browser, eliminating platform-specific barriers and making design accessible to anyone with internet access. Figma's component system and design tokens enable teams to build consistent design systems that scale across products and teams. The platform's prototyping capabilities allow designers to create interactive mockups that feel like real applications, making it easier for stakeholders to understand and approve designs. Figma's developer handoff features provide accurate specifications, CSS code, and assets, streamlining the transition from design to development. The platform has become the industry standard for product design, with teams using it for everything from mobile apps to marketing materials.

ion design

We created Ruby, an AI Product designer who improves your product while you sleep. You can assign Ruby design tasks right in slack, like optimizing a flow or creating a new page. She clarifies requirements, researches, designs multiple options, iterates with you, and ships PRs to your codebase. She will then monitor performance and suggest future improvements. She’s like Devin, but for Product Design work.

supercontrast

At Hive we worked on a product called Gencraft, an ai art generator we ramped from 0 to $1M ARR in 6 months. This inspired us to build supercontrast, an AI Copilot which empowers anyone to create and refine high quality designs and assets.

Stewdio

Stewdio is a collaborative platform for creative teams to use all the latest image + video generation models in one place. Music video directors, ad agencies, and architects use Stewdio to create everything from rap videos for Quavo and Loco, advertising storyboards, to architectural renderings.

ArchiLabs

ArchiLabs is building an AI co-pilot for architecture. Instead of spending hours on tedious tasks, architects can 10x their design speed with simple AI prompts. Brian and William met at Carnegie Mellon as engineers and separately had their own frustrating new construction experiences. Brian ran a tech-enabled homebuilding factory and found the design iteration process to be a massive bottleneck, while William built ground up homes in Texas and had a similar frustration. However, at the time, there wasn't an easy solution to the many pain points in the design process. As AI reasoning models improve, Brian and William realized that there was a massive opportunity to fix the long-tail of frustrations and build a new construction design experience by fine tuning existing models, becoming bigger than Autodesk, the $60B company in the space.

Pixelapse
